8 Signs That Indicate You’ve Chosen the Wrong Job

It’s unfortunate that most of us have come to a point where we prioritize a steady income than our passion. We’re always looking for that brilliant job that pays for our meals and luxuries, but are we happy and putting in a hundred percent to this job?
Here’s how you can check if you’re happy with your job
1. Monday Blues: If a Monday feels gloomy, it’s probably because you’re not motivated to wake up and go ahead. This should tell you something.
2. Leave: Go back and look at the amount of leaves you’ve probably applied through the year. Have you exceeded your annual leaves? Well, this should suggest that you’ve always been looking for a way to get away from the stress at work.
3. Delay: How often do you delay assignment deadlines? Quite often? If yes, it’s probably because you aren’t motivated to think of ideas or wrap up work quickly.
4. Stress: Chances are that you’re constantly stressed and unhappy at work. Something as small as a feedback from a manager could defeat the purpose of your job. It could weigh you down.
5. Health: Stress often takes a toll on your mental and emotional health. It may not show at work but at home or with family. You may seem tired, sleepy and unable to be yourself with family or loved ones.
6. Performance: Your performance may suffer. This isn’t because you aren’t good at your job but it’s simply because nothing motivates you to walk in the direction.
7. Pay: You’ve probably received little or no increase in your annual appraisal especially after working hard.
8. Independent: It’s important to identify your role and position. If you don’t get along with your co-workers, it’s probably because you prefer working independently.
Stop, pause and examine where you’re going wrong. What motivates you to work and what doesn’t! You’re probably chosen a wrong field or job, look at where you lack and where you see your strengths. And in all, don’t give up; we’re all called to do something.
